The SDABA
provides the following benefits and services to its
members:

Executive Director in Pierre representing the
Association's interests during the legislative
session and interim meetings.

Sponsorship of AG EXPO in January of each year.

Newsletters to inform the membership of current
topics of interest, changes in regulations, new
legislation, etc.

A membership directory every other year.

Scholarships to students at South Dakota State
University majoring in an agricultural related
field.

Postsecondary AgEd scholarships to students at
Technical Institutes majoring in an agricultural
related field.

Promotion and protection of the industry through its
relationship with The Fertilizer Institute, American
Crop Protection Association, and the Agricultural
Retailers Association.

Oversight of regulatory issues by working closely
with the Department of Environment and Natural
Resources and South Dakota Department of
Agriculture.

Liaison between dealers and state agencies to get
complex questions answered.

Funding for Ag in the Classroom and Cooperative
Extension Service publications.

Sponsorship of the Certified Crop Advisor (CCA)
program.

Regulatory Updates to members each spring.
Membership Levels
Your Membership Level is based on what type of
business you are engaged in:
If you are:
- A producer of fertilizer, agricultural chemicals
and/or seed, supplier, wholesaler, broker, or
equipment manufacturer, you qualify for an
Industry membership.
Voting Member. $325
Note:
If your company has
an Industry membership already, then you qualify for
an Associate membership.

- An individual, firm or company engaged in providing
goods and services associate with or assisting in
the distribution of fertilizer, agricultural
chemicals, seed and equipment, you qualify for an
Associate membership.
Non-voting member. $150

- A retail firm or corporation engaged in the actual
sales of fertilizer, agricultural chemicals and
seed, you qualify for a Dealer membership.
Voting Member. $225
Note:
If your company has a Dealer membership already,
then you qualify for a Branch membership.

- An additional retail
dealer outlet located apart from
headquarters, you qualify for a
Branch membership.
Your headquarters must hold a dealer membership. Non-voting Member.
